We respect your right to delete the personal data we hold about you. This page explains how to request deletion of your Weflux account and any associated data, in compliance with the EU GDPR, India's DPDP Act 2023, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and Meta's Platform Terms.
Option 1 — Delete from the App (fastest)
- Sign in to your workspace at wachats.serves.in.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete my data.
- Confirm the deletion by typing your email address.
- Your account and all associated workspace data will be queued for permanent deletion within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation when deletion is complete.
Option 2 — Email Request
If you cannot access your account, send a deletion request to privacy@serves.in from the email address registered with your account. Include:
- Your account email address.
- Your workspace name or slug, if known.
- The WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID), if you connected one.
- A clear statement that you want your data deleted.
We will verify your identity and confirm the deletion within 7 business days.
What Gets Deleted
When you request data deletion, the following will be permanently removed:
- Your user account (name, email, password hash, profile).
- Your organisation/workspace, if you are its only Admin.
- All WhatsApp message history, conversations, and contacts within your workspace.
- Custom attributes, tags, canned responses, automation rules, campaigns, templates, and assignment rules you created.
- Encrypted WhatsApp Business access tokens and connection metadata.
- Webhook subscriptions and verify tokens.
- Uploaded media files and exported reports.
What May Be Retained
For legal, security, and operational reasons, we may retain limited information:
- Invoices and billing records, for the duration required by Indian tax law (typically 8 years).
- Anonymised, aggregated usage logs that cannot be linked back to you.
- Server access logs containing IP addresses, for up to 90 days, for security and abuse prevention.
- Encrypted backups, which are rotated and permanently destroyed within 35 days.
- Records required to comply with a legal hold, subpoena, or regulatory obligation.
What Is Not Deleted from Meta / WhatsApp
Messages sent or received via the WhatsApp Business Platform also reside on Meta's infrastructure. Weflux cannot delete data from Meta's systems. To request deletion of WhatsApp Business data held by Meta, please contact Meta directly through your WhatsApp Business Manager or via Meta's Data Deletion Form.
Deleting an End User's Data (for Business Users)
If you are a Business User and one of your customers requests deletion of their data (for example, under GDPR Article 17), you can do this from inside your workspace:
- Open the conversation or contact profile.
- Click More → Delete contact and all messages.
- The contact, all messages, attachments, and custom attributes will be permanently removed within 24 hours.
Alternatively, email privacy@serves.inwith the workspace slug and the End User's phone number; we will process the request within 7 business days.
Timeline
- Account marked for deletion immediately upon request.
- Live database records removed within 7 days.
- Encrypted backups recycled within 35 days.
- Confirmation email sent when deletion is complete.
